About

Me

I consider myself to be in the second half of things. I’m in my mid-50s, in my second marriage, in my second post-child career and an empty nester. Change was never my groove, but with everything I have navigated over the past 15+ years, change has been inevitable and in order to maintain some sanity, I have learned to roll with it. Maybe even look forward to some changes.

I have been to my current husband since 2014. The literal baby of my family left the nest in 2023, leaving me an active parent of a cat and dog. I re-entered the work force when my youngest was 2 and worked that job for 18 years. I left that position for a similar one with a different employer on the 18th anniversary of the previous job.

Some changes I took on, and some were forced upon me. Through it all, God is good and always will be. My story of faith and loving God will be shared throughout this site. But here is the gist…

I was born to a Muslim mother and non-committed Christian father. Islam was the dominant religion observed, with some Christian practices mixed in. Jesus made Himself evident to me at the age of 6, but giving my whole heart to Him didn’t happen until I was 22. The journey has been remarkable, and this is my way of sharing it. Because I’m still figuring out so much. Jeremiah 29:11 I don’t know all that’s in store for me, but I trust the One who does.
